A Brazilian “throuple” with tens of thousands of Instagram followers are celebrating the birth of their second child.
Carol Rizola, Douglas Queiroz, and Klayse “Kah” Marques, who are in a three-way relationship, welcomed little Jose into the world on 9th June.
The throuple have been together since September 2021 and are also parents to Henrique Rizola Marques Queiroz, who was born in July last year.
Like his big brother, Jose will also take all three of his parents’ surnames.
Proud dad Douglas told local media: “We are getting used to the new routine now. It’s much more work because there are two to take care of, but we are very happy with his arrival.”
This video shows the tender moment Henrique met his little brother for the first time.
Kah said on Instagram, where the throuple have 66,400 followers: “There is nothing in this life more special than being your mother and the mother of your brother.”
Kah is Jose’s biological mother, but the throuple are hoping they can also get Carol listed as the tot’s third parent on his birth certificate.
Carol said: “Our case has been under study in court since before Henrique’s birth, and now Jose has been included in this study. We hope that a positive response from the judge will come out soon.”
After Jose was born, she wrote online: “I am a mother once again! That’s all I thought… Welcome, my son, mummy loves you very much.”
Kah had previously told local media that the pregnancy was planned, as the throuple, who are in their thirties, wanted their children to be close in age.
Douglas said: “We wanted to have two children one after the other so that they could grow up together, have their phases close to each other. The two will be friends, they will be able to keep each other company, and that will be very important to us.”
Carol, Douglas, and Kah moved in together in Londrina, Brazil, in December 2021.
Before September, Carol and Douglas had been in a traditional relationship for eight years.
