Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez’ lavish wedding at Italy’s Lake Como was billed as one of the greatest love matches in football.
But behind the scenes – it has emerged – the star striker had allegedly been given an ultimatum by his long-term partner Agustina Gandolfo, it has been claimed.
Local media in the pair’s Argentina homeland have claimed that after five years together she was not willing to give Martinez extra time.
They have claimed that Agustina, 27, told Inter hero that if he did not agree to get hitched, she was off.
The pair were wed at one of Italy’s most romantic locations on 29th May, only days before Inter lost the Champions League final to Manchester City.
Football writer Roberto Antolin broke the news on Argentinian radio host Juan Etchegoyen’s show Mitre Live.
He also claimed that model Agustina – who has 1.5 million Instagram followers – manipulates Martinez on the pitch too.
Antolin said: “She believed he had to leave the club and made him argue with his agents at the time.
“She changed his eating habits. She manipulates him as she wants.
“She gave him an ultimatum before the wedding.”
He explained: “She told him, ‘Either you marry me or I’m leaving.’
“Lautaro is a puppet in the relationship. Agustina said that, if he marries, he does it with her or she leaves.
“She controls the relationship, and she dictates everything in both personal and professional aspects.”
The writer went on: “She tells him what clothes to wear. She has done all of that.
“What I’m telling you is that he used to say they were fine and the relationship was working well, and she said that phrase I’m telling you about, ‘Either you marry me or it’s over,’ and Lautaro never dares to contradict her.
“He’s a puppet who does whatever she wants.”
