Crash Victims Delay Rescue To Take Selfies Of Carnage

This is the grand daft auto moment a pair of car crash victims pose for a social media selfie just moments after rolling their vehicle onto its roof.

The astonishing picture was taken only minutes after the pair had crawled seriously injured from the wreckage of the crash in Cuernavaca, in the Mexican state of Morelos, on 18th May.

Covered in blood, they crowd together to get their injuries in shot with the car stranded on its roof beside them.

Amazingly, the snap was being taken by a girl wearing jeans and a vest who turned out to be so seriously injured she could not walk.

Phone video footage taken after she shot the selfie shows her being helped away from the crash by a police officer.

She manages just a few faltering steps before she collapses on the pavement.

Her friend, wearing a black sleeveless shirt, seems less seriously injured and tries to help as she squats beside her on the road.

Another clip shows the selfie-shooting woman now standing up, surrounded by paramedics and police beside an ambulance gurney.

With her face and arms covered in blood from deep cuts, she appears to be arguing with her rescuers, delaying her dash to hospital.

Local media said that both women, neither of them named, were eventually taken to hospital with serious injuries.

There have been no updates on their condition and it is currently unclear what caused the crash.
