A gorgeous female football star playing for English super league club Aston Villa has claimed that she is not bothered by hate messages she receives on social media.
Aston Villa striker Alisha Lehmann, once dubbed ‘the world’s sexiest footballer’, said she ignores hateful comments in her mailbox and rather focuses on her fans’ support.
The 24-year-old stunner from the area of Taegertschi, in the canton of Bern in Switzerland, said in an interview with Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten: “I think every person has experienced hate online. That’s part of today.
“Social media is so big and everyone reads everything.
“To be honest, I don’t focus on that though. I focus on the moment, my family and everything that makes me happy.”
When asked if she reads the comments from her 13.5 million Instagram followers, she added: “No, I don’t read anything.
“The DMs are already full. But I don’t have time to read everything. Sometimes I’ll look through them and reply to a few fans.”
The sports biggest crush said she is looking ahead of the coming FIFA Women’s World Cup that will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 20th July to 20th August.
Her national team – Switzerland – will reportedly return to the tournament after missing the previous one in 2019.
When asked whether she feels excited over it, Alisha said: “Enormously! I now have a week of preparation behind me.
“Many of us haven’t even played a World Cup, like me for example. I can’t wait to fly to New Zealand soon.
“My vacation was very, very good. I was able to recover even though I trained a lot.”
The Aston Villa forward reportedly joined her national team’s preparation behind schedule, after club officials released her later than expected.
She said: “Of course I thought that I would start preparing earlier. I had planned my vacation accordingly.
“But then I got the call that the club wasn’t releasing me yet. I was disappointed, I would have liked to have come earlier.
“But it was also good that I had an extra week of vacation. I’ve had a lot of games, there aren’t many breaks in games in England.”
She said that several of her family members have already confirmed they would support her in New Zealand and said: “It’s really far. I have to see who can come. I hope that they can arrange it with their work.”
Alisha added: “Anyone who thinks of a World Cup always thinks of summer. And now it takes place in winter.
“But I actually think it’s good. The weather in England is similar anyway, so I don’t have to adapt so much.
“Of course it’s a pity that it’s so hot now and afterwards it’s going to be cold. But I think the colder temperatures are good for us.”
The gorgeous sportswoman said it felt amazing when she rejoined the national team six months ago after taking a break due to personal reasons.
Alisha said: “I’m really very happy. I enjoy the time with my teammates. It’s great to be on the field.
“And then the feeling of playing in front of all the fans. I don’t think it can be properly described.
“That moment when you play for your own country where you were born and grew up.”
When asked whether she has a ritual before the start of a game, she said: “I always listen to music on the way to the game.
“I also write to my mother. And she has to write back! Otherwise I’ll call her.
“It is important to me that I still have contact with the most important person. Then I’m well prepared.”
Lehmann previously played for West Ham United until 2021, when she joined Everton on a loan. She signed for her current team later that year.
She is openly bisexual and previously dated Swiss national teammate Ramona Bachmann. She was in a relationship with Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz until 2022.
