Influencer Morena Rial, 24, and her two friends – who were not named – were evicted from the Hotel Orfeo, located in the city of Cordoba, in central Argentina, after staff received a fire alert and several disturbance complaints.

Morena – the daughter of famous Argentinian journalist Jorge Rial – boasts over 1.3 million followers on Instagram and is usually found sharing beauty tips with her followers.

But Morena found herself amidst controversy after she and her friend group caused a fire in their hotel room in Orfeo, allegedly trying to perform a bizarre ritual to the god of death during their stay on 5th May.

The trio allegedly found stamps with the image of San La Muerte (Saint Death) – a folk saint and the personification of death – and began a weird ritual.

San La Muerte is often depicted as a skeletal figure, similar to the Grim Reaper, and is believed to have protective and miraculous powers. Devotees of San La Muerte will often pray, light candles, and present offerings to seek favours and demands of any nature.

After the fire alarm sounded off, staff immediately rushed to the room and reportedly found the curtain near the jacuzzi burning.

The hotel manager, Gabriel Oliva, pointed out that the fire originated from “a candle close to the curtain” and stressed that Rial and her friends put out the fire by their own means.

Following multiple noise complaints from other guests, staff reportedly relocated the girls to another room, where they allegedly tried to continue with the ritual.

Faced with this repeat situation, the hotel administration asked them to leave the establishment.

Morena reportedly did not want to leave, so the hotel ended up calling the police.

Soon after, police arrived and escorted Morena and her friends out of the hotel, apparently without incident.

Hotel managers claimed they are considering filing a complaint against the girls for the damages and disturbances they caused.
