A former Miss Belgium has wowed fans as she walked down the aisle with her bride as they tied the knot at their same-sex wedding.
Beaming Lenty Frans – from Antwerp – took to Instagram to post snaps of the big day to her 24,900 Instagram followers.
Frans, 29, wed her girlfriend of three years, 29-year-old Leonie Witters, in a civil ceremony on 26th August.
Footage shot after the service shows both brides wearing white mini dresses and holding bouquets as they’re showered with confetti.
The couple held another ceremony and a big party for family and friends on 2nd September, local media report.
When Frans was crowned Miss Belgium in 2016, she was often asked if she had found her Prince Charming.
But her heart was eventually stolen by Witters after the pair met at a hospital at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Frans – a trainee doctor – was doing her residency at the facility, where trainee neurosurgeon Leonie was working as an assistant.
The former beauty queen said last year: “The idea of getting married came quickly. Why wait when everything is so perfect?
“We still have the same feeling of love as on our first date.”
A message from a fan shared by Frans read: “Thank you for being so open about your relationship with Leonie!
“It has given me the confidence to pursue it myself, and now I’ve been together with an amazing woman for almost a year. You mean more than you realise!
“Congratulations on your marriage, and I wish you both all the happiness in the world.”
