Isabelly Aurora was arrested in Manaus during the second phase of Operation Dracma on the morning of 5th July.

She and fellow influencers Lucas Picole and Mano Queixo are accused of fraud.

According to the authorities, the trio raffled off cars and motorbikes online. However, little to the knowledge of their thousands of followers, the prizes already had pre-selected winners.

The influencers would charge as little as BRL 1 (GBP 0.16) for the fake raffle tickets. However, the authorities estimate that the scam earned the group more than BRL 5 million (GBP 795,000) in just two years.

Picole and Queixo were arrested during the first phase of the operation.

Police chief Cicero Tulio said at the time: “Some of the vehicles that were raffled off had already been transferred to the ownership of the alleged winners even before the drawings.

“This proves the fraud, and he (Lucas Picole) was able to gain his followers by using a humorous approach, both him and Isabelly Aurora.”

He added: “They ended up having many followers who fell for the scams, contributing amounts that, although small individually, represented a large sum in the total value of the raffles.”

This is not the first time Isabelly, 21, has fallen foul of the law. She was arrested in 2019, when she was just 17, on suspicion of belonging to a gang that sold stolen mobile phones.

Shortly after her arrest, she became known as “Princess Aurora of Crime”.

As she was a minor at the time, the case was referred to the Specialised Police Station for the Investigation of Juvenile Offences.

Police chief Raul Neto said at the time: “A person was arrested with a stolen iPhone 7 Plus.

“In her statement, she confessed that she bought the phone from the minor ‘blogger’ and her boyfriend through a website they use to sell mobile phones.

“It’s the second time her boyfriend has been charged with receiving stolen goods with aggravating factors.

“He is aware that the devices are stolen, but still proceeds with the sale. The minor was the one who contacted her offering the phone.

“In theory, even after the arrest and seizure, the group involved in this sale continues to commit the crime.”

At the time of writing, Isabelly had 792,300 followers on TikTok and 150,000 on Instagram.
