A stunning influencer dubbed The Mexican Barbie has been arrested after cops discovered a man with a gunshot wound in the car driven by her and a group of mobster friends.
Amairany Shezit, 18, was among the six people aged between 18 and 27 who had been arrested following a traffic check by the Office for Citizen Security of Mexico City on 5th November.
Two other members of the detained group were identified as Yareth Diaz Fortis and Melani Salazar Fortis. The women’s surname refers to Los Fortis, a feared gang of criminals, say local media.
There have been no updates on the condition of the 31-year-old male individual who was found to have a gunshot wound to his head, according to a statement by the authorities from 6th November.
One of the group of people in custody reportedly had a gun with them.
It is unclear whether the busty self-styled Mexican Barbie faces charges.
The model, who has 130,000 Instagram followers, currently focuses on her career as a singer.
The stunning influencer is the niece of Diana Odeli Rodriguez Adrian Mendoza who founded Dolls Drinks, a trendy range of alcoholic beverages. The couple was killed in May.
Tipped to take over as CEO after the crime, Amairany said back then: “The truth is that I would like to do something else. I have other dreams and I know it is possible. Everything is possible in life.”
Due to the rumours of the model’s alleged links to criminal gangs, netizens were not surprised by the news.
User ‘Kendra Sosa’ said: “Well, it had to be expected.”
‘Rodrigo Suarez’ remarked: “Very fine people.”
‘Big Boss’ argued: “It was a matter of time before this little swamp flower and mafia doll ended up the way it should be and where it should be.”
‘Drucilla’ warned: “Please do not comment anything about this criminal because her friends will immediately come out to defend her.”
And ‘The Ayala’ concluded: “She is going to come out. She has money and levers.”
