A professional ballerina who joined adult site OnlyFans to boost her meagre earnings as a dancer has warned of the brutality of the porn industry.
The 21-year-old dancer, named only as Avva in a new documentary about the porn industry, warned would-be adult actresses away from hard-core blue movies.
Many performers live in constant fear of abuse, she told the programme, ‘The Porn Revolution – how social media is changing the porn industry’.
Her OnlyFans poses in leotards are mild compared to most of the explicit content on the site.
Avva, from the city of Vienna, Austria, explained: “In contrast to mainstream pornography, as an actress, I earn money solely from my content.
“I also own it and can design my own working conditions.”
Avva, who has nearly 200,000 followers on Instagram, says that with dancing and OnlyFans she is working twice the average working week.
She said: “I work more than 80 hours a week to bring everything together.
“You have to deal with the material and fully support every aspect of the job.”
But she still has to deal with abuse and hate comments online.
She said: “I’m lucky that my friends and family are behind me.”
