Former ‘Miss Moscow’ winner Alesya Semerenko claimed she was left with nothing after her manager promised her a prize-winning place at Miss World.

Alesya said she had turned to her friend and skilled casting director Anton Paramonov back in June, thinking he could help her get into the beauty contest.

The stunning dark-haired Russian claimed he told her he could even get her the crown.

According to Alesya, Paramonov used to come to Moscow, Russia’s capital, to select girls for competitions.

In 2021, with his assistance, Alesya participated in several events, so she had no reason not to trust him.

That was why she claimed she did not have any suspicions when he allegedly proposed they “buy” the title.

Over the course of several months, Alesya claimed she made several transactions to him, totalling RUB 1 million (GBP 8,800).

But as soon as she sent the last of the sum, she claimed Paramonov disappeared along with her money.

Realising she had been deceived, Alesya then reported the case to the police.

It was later revealed that Paramonov was also known for his fraudulent schemes in Yekaterinburg, where he promised girls participation in beauty contests and prizes, and then vanished.

However, Alesya claimed she did not know about this. She had faith in Paramonov after he helped her get back on her feet when her ‘Miss Moscow’ title was stripped from her in 2018 after the organisers announced she had not fulfilled contractual obligations.

The competition team complained that Alesya missed important events, handled matters herself instead of delegating them to representatives, and returned the crown in a damaged condition.

For this, she was obligated to pay a fine of RUB 500,000 (GBP 4,400).

Rumours also began to spread that Alesya had only won because a wealthy admirer bought her the first place.

The beauty denied all accusations and insisted in every interview that she followed all the conditions set by the competition organisers.

Police are currently investigating the allegations.
