Several OnlyFans models are facing arrest in Turkey on “obscenity” charges after police detained 17 suspects as part of a massive crackdown on illegal adult content.
The raids took place in Istanbul and seven other provinces across Turkey on 13th February, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Istanbul Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit.
Authorities said the investigation centres on alleged money laundering and obscenity after investigators determined that OnlyFans, which has been blocked by a court order since June 2023, was still being accessed by suspects using IP address changes.
Police said suspects allegedly used public social media accounts to steer followers towards paid “special content”, with users then directed via other platforms and instant messaging apps to access that material.
Officers carried out simultaneous early-morning operations, with 17 people taken into custody, while detention orders were issued for a total of 25 suspects.
Investigators said four prominent names — Merve Taskın, Gizem Bagdacicek, Burcin Erol and Serpil Cansiz — were also subject to detention orders but were believed to be abroad at the time of the crackdown.
Authorities also seized TRY 300 million (GBP 5 million), and two companies, 10 properties and 14 vehicles were confiscated as part of the case.
Police said the inquiry is continuing, with the suspects’ alleged online activity and financial movements still under investigation.
